Influenza Prevention: An Overview for Healthcare Workers
Program Description:
During this enduring educational activity, healthcare providers and members of the healthcare team will learn about what the influenza virus is, how to prevent influenza, and how to educate your patients and others about influenza.
Who Should Attend:
Nurses, Dental Professionals, Healthcare Professionals, Respiratory Therapists, Allied and Rehabilitative Health Professionals, CCRI Health & Rehabilitative Sciences Students, Faculty, Alumni, and Clinical Instructors.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, the learner will:
- Be better prepared to educate their patients about the influenza virus and methods to protect themselves from contracting influenza.
Credit Designation:
- Nurses: This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Community College of Rhode Island. The Community College of Rhode Island is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Northeast Multistate Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation, for 1.0 contact hour.
