Disability Accessibility for Students

DAS Transitions Day 2024- Register Now!

Who We Are

Disability Accessibility for Students (DAS) believes CCRI experiences should be accessible by all to the greatest extent possible. When academic experiences present barriers, accommodations may be necessary. Here you will find information on how to connect with DAS and learn about the services we offer for students.

New Students: Getting Started with DAS

The Disability Accessibility for Students (DAS) Office at the Community College of Rhode Island is the College’s designated agent for determining eligibility, facilitating access, and coordinating accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities. Students requesting adjustments, accommodations, or services related to a disability should register with the DAS Office to determine eligibility.

DAS Registered Students: Request Semester Accommodation Letters

Students have access to their own portal through Single-Sign-On (SSO) to renew approved accommodations at the beginning of each semester. You will need access to your CCRI credentials to login.

Accuplacer/RI Promise Reduced Course Load

If you would like to set up a meeting with a DAS Coordinator to discuss potential accommodations for the Accuplacer, please send an email to [email protected] and someone will assist you with this process.

For RI Promise/Reduced Course Load Accommodation, please follow the steps above for New Student Application and a coordinator will contact you to set up an appointment.

Virtual Information Drop-In Sessions

DAS is happy to answer questions during Virtual Information Drop-In sessions on a first-come, first-served basis.  You can use this time to ask questions about how to register with DAS, services we offer, how to set up an appointment for accommodations, etc.

Please be aware that an intake appointment cannot be held during a virtual drop-in, however we can schedule that appointment for you during this time.

Use your computer, tablet, or smartphone to chat with a DAS Coordinator!

Drop in sessions in the morning begin at 10am, and in the evening begin at 6pm.  You can login during anytime on the scheduled day. Please click on the link below to sign in:
