The Writing Center

The CCRI Writing Center’s free services include appointments and walk-in help for such tasks as prewriting, organizing, drafting, revising, and editing different kinds of papers and writing-based assignments for any CCRI course.

We Want to Help!

Make an appointment at one of our on-campus centers or meet us online for help with your writing projects.

Schedule an appointment with the Writing Center team

Writing Center appointments are scheduled through Knight Success Hub.

  1. Log in to Knight Success Hub.
  2. Select Schedule Tutoring/Writing Center Session. Use this link for all our services.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Select your preferred campus or online location.
  5. Choose Writing Support as your session type.
  6. If your appointment is related to a CCRI course, enter the course information to help your tutor prepare for the session.
  7. Select a tutor and choose an available appointment day and time. If prompted, choose either the in-person location or Zoom.
  8. If your selected tutor does not have an available appointment time that works for you, return and choose another tutor to view their availability.
  9. Click Create to finalize your appointment.

In-Person Tutoring

In-person tutoring is available by appointment or via walk-in (availability pending) at the Warwick, Lincoln, Providence, and Newport campuses. If you need assistance with scheduling an appointment, please email [email protected].


  • Knight Campus, Room 3540 (Warwick), located downstairs from the Library in the Tutoring Center
    • Hours: Monday through Friday: 8am - 4pm
  • Flanagan Campus, Room 2427 (Lincoln)
    • Hours: Monday, Wednesday through Friday: 8am - 4pm; Tuesdays: 10am - 6pm
  • Liston Campus, Room 2235 (Providence)
    • Hours: Monday, Wednesday through Friday: 8am - 4pm; Tuesdays: 10am - 6pm
  • Newport Campus, Rooms 251 and 252 (in Library)
    • Hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 8 am to 4 pm, Wednesdays: 8 am to 8 pm, Fridays: 8 am to 1 pm

Online Tutoring

If you can't make it into one of our writing centers, we can help you online! Using the Zoom platform, we can connect and work with you on your papers. Online appointments are available during all regular hours.

Writing Center Job Opportunities

Paid peer tutor positions may be available in the CCRI Writing Centers. Helping other students to improve their writing is one of the best ways to enhance one's own communication and collaborative skills, both of which are needed to be successful in college courses, in a career, and in our daily interactions with others. Plus, tutoring positions look great on your resume! 

Peer Tutor Positions

These paid peer tutoring positions are a great way to help other students, as well as to enhance one's own skills. Potential peer tutors need to have completed Composition I with a grade of "B" or higher and have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
