The Office of Community Standards is dedicated to fostering a safe, respectful, and
inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive academically, personally,
and professionally. By upholding college policies and community expectations through
a restorative and student-centered approach, the office promotes accountability, personal
growth, and a sense of belonging among CCRI’s diverse student population. We view
misconduct as an opportunity for learning, reflection, and community repair, encouraging
students to understand the impact of their actions, take meaningful responsibility,
and work toward restoring trust and strengthening relationships. Through collaboration
with students, faculty, staff, and community partners, the Office of Community Standards
promotes accountability, respect, and community well-being while empowering students
to navigate challenges and contribute positively to campus life.
Our Academic Integrity Policy :
Academic integrity is vital to an institution of higher education. The integrity of your work ‒ that it represents your independent thought and effort and that it properly acknowledges the work of others ‒ is essential to the awarding of credit and to the development of your academic potential. As such, instances of academic dishonesty ‒ cheating, plagiarism, etc., ‒ are extremely serious academic offenses that should not be overlooked. Students should be aware and regularly cautioned that violations of academic integrity may result in suspension or expulsion from the college.

Conduct Record Request
Student conduct records are confidential and may only be released with the student's authorization. By submitting a request, you authorize the College to provide your conduct record directly to the designated recipient. Only cases resulting in a finding of Responsible are reported; findings of Not Responsible, warnings, and pending cases are not disclosed. Records are generally retained for six (6) years from the date of the incident, in accordance with the Student Handbook. Please allow up to 10 business days for processing after all required documentation has been received. For questions, contact the Office of Community Standards at [email protected].

Academic Grievance
Students may appeal a final grade of a credit-bearing course when they can show a technical or mathematical error in the grade, can show that they have been unfairly denied a grading opportunity or, can show that the grading procedures listed in the course syllabus, department policy, or college policy have not been followed, and; has attempted to resolve the issue with the faculty member, department chair and academic dean.
