CCRI, in collaboration with Newport Mental Health, is launching a new Case Manager training program for people interested in helping adults with mental illness and other life challenges, and ensuring they receive the proper care to meet their mental, physical, and emotional needs. During this program, students will earn college credits from CCRI and participate in a paid internship with Newport Mental Health. Program graduates can expect to continue their employment as Case Managers with Newport Mental Health and will earn a pay increase for successful completion. Successful graduates will earn an Academic Certificate in Case Management, 21 college credits, and an industry-recognized credential if they meet all program requirements. The credits can later be applied toward CCRI’s Associate Degree in Social Work.

The Case Manager training consists of a 2-week orientation training, followed by two 10-week semesters and a 20-29 hour per week paid internship. Students will take 3 classes per semester in a hybrid format; approximately one in-person class each week will be held at CCRI’s Newport campus. Bilingual students are encouraged to apply.

If interested in applying, please complete our  Program Inquiry Form

CCRI also partners with Community Care Alliance and the Woonsocket Education Center to provide the Case Manager Program in Northern Rhode Island. Please check back for future opportunities and complete our Program Inquiry Form to hear about future cohorts.

Due to the nature of this program, full immunizations, including COVID-19 vaccination are required. Exceptions may be made for students with a qualifying health condition that prohibits safely receiving the vaccine, if proper documentation is provided and approved prior to the beginning of the program.
