CCRI to host Enrollment Days for new students
April 10, 2019
The Community College of Rhode Island will host Enrollment Days this spring and summer to assist new students, including Class of 2019 Rhode Island high school students who are planning to attend CCRI this fall under the Rhode Island Promise scholarship program.
Enrollment Days will offer support with Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completion, placement testing scheduling and information, academic advising and course registration. The first Enrollment Day, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, will be geared specifically toward graduating 2019 high school students who are interested in applying for the Rhode Island Promise scholarship program.
Two additional Enrollment Day events for prospective Promise students as well as any other new students will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, and Tuesday, July 23. All Enrollment Days will be held in the Great Hall at the college’s Knight Campus, 400 East Ave., Warwick.
Those attending should bring a photo ID, high school transcript and 2017 tax returns – for both the student and parents – and should plan to spend several hours at the event. Students who plan to take the ACCUPLACER placement test during the June and July dates should arrive by noon to provide enough time for testing.
For qualified students, the Rhode Island Promise scholarship covers tuition and fees for students who enroll full time.
Fall registration has begun for continuing and new degree students. Registration begins on April 29 for continuing and new non-degree students.
Those who cannot attend one of the Enrollment Day events can apply to CCRI online and contact the college’s Advising Center at 401-825-1240 or by email at for assistance with placement testing and course selection.
