Student Film Submissions
Submissions are now open!
All submissions must be made via Film Freeway.
Entries are open to films made by CCRI students since January 2025. Entries open 12/1/2025.
- Accepting entries in the following categories: Fiction short film, nonfiction short film, animated short film, and experimental short film. See full information at www.ccri.edu/filmfestival
- Film are eligible for juried awards if submitted by regular deadline (see Film Freeway)
Rules & Terms
Open to films created by CCRI students in the following submission categories:
- Fiction short film
- Nonfiction short film
- Animated short film
- Experimental short film
To be eligible for selection, films must meet the following criteria:
- Writer, director, or producer was an enrolled CCRI student at the time of production/completion
- Completion date January 2025 to present
- Running time 20mins or less
- Submission contains no stock footage or other non-original footage (regardless of rights)
- Submission contains no generative-AI media content
- Submitter owns rights or has permission to use music featured in the submission
- If any prop weapon is used in production, submitter must include a Production Safety form; use of actual weapons in production is prohibited and will result in entry rejection.
