June 5, 2024: Strategy and Finance Committee is re-invisioned
The Strategy and Finance Committe, through assessment of the operations of the college
and purview of the College Assembly, determined that the committee’s documented mission
was not appropriate and required revision that would prove a more valuable contribution
to the college, in keeping with the purpose of the college assembly. For more information,

They are now the Stragic Plan Engagement Committee:
The Strategic Plan Engagement Committee supports the efforts of the Community College
of Rhode Island to realize our mission by connecting members of our diverse community
with our Strategic Plan. Together, with input from each unit of the college, we review
our goals, identify potential barriers to success, and mark progress.
The committee is excited to expand membership that is inculisve of the various organizational
units of the college. More to come!
May 17, 2024: Staff commitments formally recognized in first resolution of the Staff Assembly
The DEI Committee was charged with creating four staff commitments aligning with our
Guiding Principles while encompassing the varied work of staff across the college.
On April 17, 2024 the President’s Council endorsed the CCRI Staff Commitments as passed
by the Staff Assembly on April 15, 2024.
The DEI Committee is proud to present your four CCRI Staff Commitments and looks forward
to seeing them in action.
1. Engage with members of our community – say “hello”, assist as needed, follow-through
2. Collaborate respectfully across departments and campuses in support of students
3. Recognize barriers to success and pursue creative solutions
4. Embrace diversity and create an inclusive environment for all
This is the first resolution passed by the Staff Assembly.
