Our Purpose
The purpose of the Staff Assembly is to participate in the governance of the Community
College of Rhode Island. We develop policies and other recommendations related to
the administrative and business work of the college and its staff members so that
CCRI may effectively realize its Mission and Strategic Plan and advance the goals
of diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization and its activities. We
also represent the collective interests of stakeholders and serve as a conduit of
information sharing between college leadership and the college community about its
administrative work.

The Staff Assembly approved a number of changed to the Assembly's Constition and ByLaws
on May 21, 2025. These changes will be going to a College-wide vote to full-time non-faculty
employees in June. If you would like to reviw the changes, please see the documents
