The Adult Education team at CCRI welcomes diverse adult learners and commits to providing affordable, equitable, and accessible programing for language acquisition, High school equivalency, and workforce training. Learners will build academic and work force skills while developing confidence to navigate resources for lifelong success at the college and in their community.

Bridge & GED Classes

The Bridge Program classes in literacy and math prepare you for the GED®, the next step in your career, or college. Classes are open to all students who meet the placement requirement in reading. Bridge also includes a Spanish GED option.

The GED® is a four-part nationally recognized high school equivalency test aligned with state standards.

English Language Studies (ELS)

ELS classes are available in levels 1 - 6 to give students an understanding of the basics of the English language.

The goal of the program is to help speakers of other languages achieve a level of English proficiency to function better in everyday living, enter a job training program, improve performance in current jobs, and/or pursue other goals.

RI-BEST

RI-BEST classes are offered for students to take college-level courses and get additional academic support in these classes. RI-BEST students will earn college credit and have teachers to provide additional tutoring in academic courses.

Rhode Island’s top employers partner with CCRI to ensure their workforce is ready for the economy of tomorrow. Workforce training funding is available for many of these programs, so some training may be FREE.
