Conditionally Accepted Nursing Students
Dear Potential Nursing Student,
Congratulations on your conditional acceptance to the Nursing Program!
The Nursing Department has selected CastleBranch (previously known as CertifiedBackground)
to manage and facilitate compliance with health records, and Criminal Background Checks (BCI). This system allows you to effortlessly collect, review and share any document.
On the right, you will find three documents and a link to the Criminal Background
Check Policy:

The first, entitled "Instructions for Order Placement" includes a Package Code which you will use to purchase both the required BCI check as well as your Health Tracking requirements.

The second is a set of instructions which will assist you.

The third item is the new "Healthcare Requirements for Health Science Students" form. This must be completed in its entirety and all pages must include your name and be signed by your Healthcare provider.

The fourth item is the "Criminal Background Check Policy".

The fifth item is the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) Medical Exemption form. Only RIDOH Medical Exemptions are permitted. There are No Religious Exemptions accepted.
It is YOUR responsibility to remain in compliance with all health care requirements throughout the year. CastleBranch will send email alerts to you as requirements approach their due dates. It is your responsibility to attend to it immediately so your health record does not become non-compliant. It can take 2-4 business days (Monday through Friday) after a submission before your record will reflect any updates.
If these requirements are not met by the indicated deadline, you will lose your seat. The Nursing program reserves the right to move on to the next qualified applicant.
Students must also submit copies of Health Records to the CCRI School Nurse, located in room 1240 on the Knight Campus.
