CCRI appoints new CIO, Director of Enterprise Applications to IT division

The Community College of Rhode Island has announced the hiring of James Bradley as the new Chief Information Officer and Rajeev Jayadeva as CCRI's Director of Enterprise Applications, effective immediately.
With more than 20 years of experience developing and executing visionary strategies and leading change at three different universities as a CIO, Bradley is an accomplished and strategic higher-education technology leader who will focus on creating solutions that drive student success at CCRI.
A Texas native, Bradley is relocating to the area and joins CCRI after most recently serving as the CIO at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, where he created innovative partnerships and led all technology solution delivery at a university that serves more than 21,000 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students.
Bradley also served as the CIO at Trinity University and University of Texas at Arlington. While at Trinity, located in San Antonio, he worked as a partner with the college’s Chief Financial Officer to develop a strategy to address business process reengineering, Customer Relationship Management, and Enterprise Resource Planning needs. In his role as CIO at UT Arlington, Bradley was responsible for all centralized Information Technology (IT) operations, including Systems and Services, Networking, Client Services, Digital Technologies, and Strategy and Planning. He operated the shared University of Texas System Arlington Regional Data Center, which serves more than 50,000 students, and built strong relationships to expand the college’s vendor partnerships.
Bradley earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Houston and his Master of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of St. Thomas.
In the role of Director of Enterprise Applications, which reports directly to the CIO, Jayadeva will manage and lead a team of Business Analysts, Application Developers, and Project Managers in launching efficient business, financial, and operational systems in support of CCRI’s core organizational functions and business processes.
A results-oriented technology leader with a proven track record of driving innovation and fostering agility within intricate higher-education environments, Jayadeva comes to CCRI from Touro University in New York City, where he served as the Information Technology (IT) Director of Enterprise Applications beginning in September 2020. At Touro, Jayadeva defined and implemented strategies for best practices relevant to on-premise and cloud computing services and was responsible for leading and managing a team of professionals in the areas of enterprise resource planning (ERP), business relations, applications management, enterprise security, service management, projects, metrics, and reporting.
Jayadeva also served as the IT Director for Enterprise Applications Management at Ellucian, a leading cloud-based software provider for higher-education institutions; the Director of Technology at Nassau Community College; and the Associate Registrar for Systems and Operations at Pratt Institute.
In addition to professional certifications as an AWS Cloud Practitioner and Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Jayadeva holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and a Master of Library and Information Science from Queens College and a Ph.D. in Education, Instructional Design & Technology from Liberty University. Jayadeva has also taught professional workshops and literacy and educational technology courses, published journals in peer-reviewed publications for the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), and won AACRAO’s 2018 Emerging Leader Award.
