Updated COVID-19 vaccination policy

Taking into consideration the changing public health landscape around COVID-19, including the end of the national and state public health emergency declarations, CCRI students and employees no longer need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of enrollment or employment, effective July 1, 2023. This means that students attending Summer 2023 and Fall 2023 semesters will not have a vaccination requirement.

Specific groups of students and employees may be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of their clinical or external placements.  

Although COVID-19 vaccinations will no longer be required, CCRI strongly encourages all members of our communities to stay up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters.  We are grateful for your continued cooperation and recognition of the role each and every one of us plays in creating healthy and safe communities.

One year after CCRI and North Kingstown High School partnered to launch the college's free Advanced Manufacturing Program for high school students interested in earning a Manufacturing and Design Certificate, Mount Pleasant High School has joined the program this fall to extend this unique opportunity to a group of 14 students.

CCRI receives grant to empower and celebrate First-Generation college students

The $1,000 grant will be used to support a First Generation Family Night event at CCRI’s Lincoln Campus on November 7 as part of its First-Generation College Celebration Day programming. First-Generation College Celebration Day is observed each year on November 8 to celebrate the success of first-generation college students, faculty, and staff who were the first in their families to graduate college.
