Joint Admissions Agreement is an opportunity for CCRI students who intend to complete an associate degree at CCRI and then transfer to Rhode Island College (RIC) or the University of Rhode Island (URI) to be conditionally accepted while a student at CCRI.

By participating in JAA, students receive the following benefits:

  • 60 credits that transfer and apply to the bachelor’s degree major
  • Advising by CCRI and RIC or URI advisors every semester
  • Eligibility for the JAA discount on RIC or URI tuition by graduating from CCRI with a 3.0 Grade Point Average or higher
  • Transition into specific majors with JAA plans

Important Information about JAA Days

JAA Days will continue to be virtual for the Fall 2021 semester. It is essential you continue to meet with your CCRI advisor(s) and review DegreeWorks. We want to ensure a timely graduation and transition.

YOU MUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW 


Student Pursuing URI Transfer:

  • Continuing at CCRI in the Spring 2022 semester?
    • Meet with a CCRI Advisor to select your Spring classes. This meeting must take place BEFORE your URI meeting date.
    • Dates to meet with a URI Advisor virtually will be sent to your CCRI email address.
  •  Graduating Fall 2021? 
    • Please complete this Intent to Enroll Form as soon as possible 
    • Upon acceptance, please be prepared to make your URI enrollment deposit of $300. This is applied to your first semester’s tuition and is mandatory to register for classes. You must send an electronic transcript to URI ([email protected]) to be accepted. It can be ordered HERE: ($2.50 fee): 
    • As stated above, complete the Intent to Enroll ASAP so you can register with URI continuing juniors.

Students Pursuing RIC Transfer:

  • Continuing at CCRI in the Spring 2022 semester? 
    • Meet with a CCRI Advisor to select your Spring classes. This meeting must take place BEFORE attending a RIC JAA Virtual event.
    • Dates to meet with a RIC Advisor virtually will be sent to your CCRI email address.
  • Graduating Fall 2021?
    • Please complete this Intent to Enroll Form as soon as possible
    • You must send an electronic transcript to RIC ([email protected]) after completing the Intent to Enroll form. It can be ordered HERE ($2.50 fee)
    • You must also submit your RIC enrollment deposit of $200 after completing the Intent to Enroll form.  This deposit is applied to your first semester’s tuition and is mandatory to register for classes. Click HERE for details.

Inter-Institutional Student Exchange

CCRI, RIC or URI students can take up to seven credits of their full-time load at one of the state supported colleges (CCRI, RIC or URI) at no additional tuition above their full-time CCRI tuition.
