Program Description: Learn about how the Healthcare Workforce Transformation Initiatives Team at CCRI adapted a community health simulation to an accredited virtual case study for the current and future healthcare workforce, and see how they transformed an under-utilized space to simulate a home care environment for use in nursing education.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Be able to describe how to transform a case study into an online simulation for a community health nursing course.
  • Be able to identify how to develop interactive knowledge checks for a simulated case study.

  • Nurses: This continuing nursing education activity is provided by the Community College of Rhode Island. The Community College of Rhode Island is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Northeast Multistate Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation, for 1.0 contact hours.
