Clean Water Workforce

Offered in partnership with Real Jobs Rhode Island, and the RI Department of Labor and Training, CCRI is offering a NEW opportunity to prepare for a career in Rhode Island’s clean water sector.

Offered in partnership with Real Jobs Rhode Island, and the RI Department of Labor and Training, CCRI is offering a NEW opportunity to prepare for a career in Rhode Island’s clean water sector through this 10-week, ~250-hour, hands-on training program. Participants will gain foundational knowledge and practical experience in drinking water and wastewater operations, covering systems, tools, safety protocols, basic math and science, OSHA-10, and RIDEM and RIDOH Operator 1 certification preparation. This program includes classroom instruction, lab work, site visits, and a 50-hour job shadowing placement with a local employer.

No prior experience is required. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Program Information:

When: October 20 – December 20, Monday – Friday, 3:30 - 8:30 pm

Where: CCRI Knight Campus, 400 East Avenue, Warwick, RI
