Bio
Tara Swift received a B.S. in Elementary Education in 2000 from the University of Idaho and a M.S. in Physical Education/Sports Administration from Eastern Washington University in 2004. After beginning her career as an Elementary School teacher, Tara made a transition to the dental field. She became a Certified Dental Assistant after graduating from the Dental Assisting Program at Centura College in 2010. After moving to Rhode Island, she began her dental assisting career in a local general dentistry practice. In 2012, Tara was able to combine her love of dental assisting and teaching by becoming Adjunct Faculty in the CCRI Dental Assisting Program. In 2015, she was hired as a full-time Assistant Professor. Tara currently teaches Dental Materials Course Coordinator, Dental Chairside I Lab, Dental Chairside II Lab, Dental Chairside II Clinical Practice, Dental Office Procedures and CWCE DANB General Chairside Exam Preparation. Tara currently is a doctoral student and serves on the Curriculum Committee for CCRI.
