The CCRI Italian Club officers express appreciation to all participants who attended a Zoom Presentation: "Italian Food Through the Ages" with presenter Master Chef Walter Potenza on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 4:00PM Online Via Zoom. With much graditute to all our supporters.
This presentation emphasized the following:
- Overview on the development of Italian cuisine from the agricultural beginning to elaborate court's cuisine.
- Gastronomic difference between the Northern, Central, and Southern regions, from styles, ingredients, and gastronomic philosophy.
- Italian specialty foods and classifications, including the status of DOP and IGP.
- Eating in Italy and the meal structure of the daily food consumption and sustainability
