Pre-Employment Background Screening

The Community College of Rhode Island conducts national pre-employment background investigations for all new hires, with the exception of work study and student help. This includes all bi-weekly, adjunct, monthly, and part-time employees.

The following information will be included in the college's background investigation of all new employees:

  1. Social Security Number Trace (SSN Trace) results for Court Records Search
  2. Criminal (Felony and Misdemeanor)
  3. National Criminal Database Search
  4. National Sex Offender Registry
