2006 Hall of Fame inductee - Arthur G. Jenkins
Arthur Jenkins, an investment bank director for Investors Capital in Providence, was a CCRI Foundation trustee and board member from 1990 until he passed away in August 2005. He served as treasurer and as a member of the Foundation’s Finance Committee. During his tenure as treasurer, the Foundation’s portfolio reached the million dollar mark.
Jenkins and his wife, Roberta, were the co-chairs of the Foundation’s first capital campaign for the renovation of the dental hygiene lab at the Flanagan Campus. During this time Roberta, established a scholarship at the college in memory of her son, Jonathon Grogshal. The Jonathon Fund is given to students who were raised in an inner-city environment.
Jenkins helped bring the Foundation forward and was a true ambassador of the college and its mission. He helped CCRI students change their lives and achieve their dreams.
After Jenkins passed away, his good friend, Edward Carosi, campaigned to have Arthur inducted into the Hall of Fame and a luncheon was held in his honor.
