The CCRI Foundation was established in 1979, and for over 40 years has been vital to helping our students achieve their academic and professional goals through scholarships, book awards, and emergency funding. Today, philanthropic partners become critical to our growing community that make up 20,000 enrolled students and nearly 80,000 alumni.
The mission of the CCRI Foundation is to secure monies for the Community College of Rhode Island through dynamic campaigns and public awareness of the College’s value to the community.
The Community College of Rhode Island Foundation Board of Trustees and Alumni Association Assembly (CCRI Foundation) named one of the six recipients and the First Community College Foundation for the 2022 John W. Nason Award for Board Leadership by the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB), the premier organization representing higher education governing boards. The Nason Award, established in 1992, is presented in partnership with TIAA to higher education governing boards that demonstrate exceptional leadership and initiative.
