Bio
Audra's career in dentistry began in 1999 upon graduating from the Dental Assisting
program at the Community College of Rhode Island. After serving as a Certified Dental
Assistant in a prosthodontic practice, Audra returned to the Community College of
Rhode Island and earned her A.A.S. in Dental Hygiene in 2003. Audra continued her
education and earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Rhode Island College in 2005.
Audra has been employed in a variety of dental settings, including general/family
dentistry, prosthodontic, and periodontic practices. Additionally, Audra holds a
permit to administer both local anesthesia and nitrous oxide, and is a licensed Public
Health Dental Hygienist. She is an active member of the Rhode Island Dental Hygienist
and Rhode Island Dental Assistants Association.
Audra's teaching career began in 2010 as an adjunct instructor in the Dental Assisting
program at the Community College of Rhode Island. She earned a Master's degree in
Adult Education from the University of Rhode Island in 2016. After serving as a full-time
Visiting Lecturer, Audra was hired as faculty in 2021 and currently serves as a Assistant
Professor in the Dental Health Department at the Community College of Rhode Island.
