Cooperative Work Experience is one of the most practical ways to build your career while you are still in school. Here is what you get:

  • Real experience in your field: Apply what you are learning in class to an actual workplace and build your resume with hands-on work.
  • College credit: Earn college credits toward your degree while gaining professional experience.
  • A flexible format: The seminar portion of the course is fully online.
  • Transferable skills: Practice communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management in a professional setting, skills every employer values.
  • Career clarity: Try out a field or role before committing to it. Many students use this course to confirm they are on the right path, or discover a new one.
  • Professional connections: Build relationships with supervisors and colleagues who can serve as references, mentors, and network contacts long after you graduate.
  • A stronger job search: Students with hands-on experience stand out to employers.
