Knights Receive NABC Team of the Week Laurels!

CCRI Men's Basketball
Warwick, R.I. – January 29, 2019: The CCRI Knights men's basketball team was recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for their performances last week. In their first team award of the 2018-19 season, CCRI received the NABC Team of the Week Award in the NJCAA /Two-Year Colleges category.
In an impressive run of form, CCRI went 3-0 last week defeating three Region XXI opponents. Northern Essex Community College and UConn Avery Point were dispatched by score lines of 106-73 and 100-54 respectively. The strong week was capped by a statement making 76-70 win over No. 5 nationally ranked Bunker Hill Community College as the Knights push to receive national rankings themselves.
The Knights have remained undefeated at home garnering a 11-0 record whilst holding a 18-3 overall record on the season. 16-2 in Region XXI play, CCRI look to maintain this momentum throughout the remainder if the season and intro the postseason.
Fellow men's basketball programs that received recognition this week were Belmont University (Nashville, TN), Le Moyne College (Syracuse, NY), York College (Jamaica, NY), and Keiser University (Fort Lauderdale, FL).
