Cerullo Runs Her Second-best 1,500m time at Loeschner Invite!

Warwick, R.I. – April 22, 2019: The Community College of Rhode Island track team had one athlete compete at the 2019 Eric Loeschner Memorial Invitational held at Fitchburg State University on Saturday. Saramarie Cerullo (Smithfield, RI) competed in the 1,500m run.

Saramarie Cerullo placed 13th in the 1,500m run with her second-best time of the season 6 minutes 5.52 seconds. This time was just four seconds behind her time last week of 6:01.35 which was her personal-best at the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College. Cerullo has run consistently better and better as the season has progressed and will look to keep improving next week at Yale.

The CCRI team will travel to Yale University next Sunday for the Yale Spring Open which will be the last meet of the season for CCRI beginning at 10am.
