Tutoring Programs
Our Center provides professional tutors and peer tutors who have been recommended
by CCRI faculty to provide tutoring for their courses. Tutoring helps you learn course
material for a specific class by clarifying course concepts and practice with course
materials. You do not have to be in jeopardy of failing to get help from a tutor. Watch the video directions below to learn how to book appointments with a CCRI tutor
through Starfish.
Partner with an Academic Coach*
Academic coaching is a personalized student-coach partnership with appointments tailored
to your needs. Meetings may include discussing organization and time management skills,
textbook-reading techniques, note-taking tips, and test-taking strategies. We offer
coaching services as one-time appointments or a series of consultations throughout
the semester.
Apply to be a Peer Tutor
Peer tutors provide subject specific tutoring to CCRI students. Tutors meet with students
on a regular basis to clarify course concepts. Tutors meet with students on a one-to-one
or small-group basis to give learning assistance in-person and online.
For more information on becoming a peer tutor, check out our "For Tutors" page.
Please note: Running Start, High School Enrichment, and HS/CCRI Partnership students are not
eligible to work on campus per CCRI’s Financial Aid department.
