The Management Information Systems (MIS) group supports the core information systems of the college, which are currently Sungard Higher Education's Banner products. These systems were migrated to the Banner software suite during a 3 year project from July 2003 through June 2006.
The group is also responsible for assessment and implementation of new applications that support CCRI's information needs. Often, these needs can be met by new reports from existing systems, using new functions within existing systems, or internal development of new applications.
New needs are best assessed by having a preliminary discussion with the programmer/analyst responsible for the system. Depending upon the outcome of the discussion follow up may consist of additional meetings or the user being asked to complete a written request for services.
