Copyright Guidelines
Summary
The RI Board of Governors for Higher Education approved CCRI’s Intellectual Property Policy
on March 24, 2008. The purpose of this policy is to address questions of ownership
of Intellectual Property (trademarks, trade secrets, patents, and copyrights) between
the college and its faculty and staff.

Copyright Issues for Faculty
Daniel J. Copyright Policies for Distance Learning
In November 2002, a federal law was enacted to expand the exemption under Copyright Law that was available to educational organizations for distance learning courses. This law was entitled the Technology, Education, and Copyright Harmonization Act of 2002, and it is now known as the TEACH Act:
