CLEP TESTS ARE COMPUTER-BASED. CLEP offers two types of 90-minute multiple choice tests. The General Examinations are designed to measure familiarity with material which would be covered in courses taken during the first two years of college to meet the general education or liberal arts requirements, and are offered in English Composition, Humanities, College Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences & History. Subject examinations are designed to measure knowledge and achievement usually covered in specific college courses.

There is a $97 Registration Fee (paid to College Board)

Please note that a registration fee voucher, which will allow you to take the test for free, is available to students that complete CLEP test preparation through an organization called Modern States (https://modernstates.org/).
