Knights fall to Massasoit on Home Course

Warwick, R.I. – May 10, 2018: The CCRI Knights golf team hosted golfers from Massasoit Community College, Mass Bay Community College, Holyoke Community College and Bristol Community College for a match on Wednesday. Only CCRI and Massasoit had full teams with the Warriors of Massasoit prevailing with the low team score of 337 followed by CCRI who carded a 352 team score.

Leading the way for the Knights was Captain Tyler Boisclair (West Warwick, RI) who had the low score of the day with an impressive 76. Boisclair was followed by freshman Michael Occhi (Portsmouth, RI) who shot an 84. Colby Alfred (Cranston, RI) also had a very good round shooting a 94. The final golfer for CCRI was Kyle Dagesse (Lincoln, RI) who shot a 98 to give CCRI a team score of 352.

The winning team was Massasoit CC shooting a team low 337. Leading the way for the Warriors were Chris Flipp and Shawn McIsaac both shooting an 81. They were followed by Chris McMorrow with an 84 and Jack DaCosta had a 91.

Holyoke had two golfers: Kyle Richter had an 85 and Anthony Forrest a 101. Bristol Community College also had two golfers: Kenny Mather 85 and Conor Chaco 102. The final competitor on Wednesday was John Lee from Mass Bay CC who shot a 95.

The next match for the Knights will be the Region XXI Tournament which they will host at Cranston Country Club beginning Tuesday the 15th with a practice round followed by two rounds of competition Wednesday the 16th and Thursday the 17th.
