The purpose of the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) website is to provide a medium for access to accurate and timely information regarding the community college’s mission, its faculty, staff and students, its services and programs, and college-related events. It provides access to local and global resources for teaching and learning, as well as access to school services.
The Community College of Rhode Island home page and associated upper-level pages are official publications of CCRI. Unless otherwise indicated, all text, photographs and original graphics are copyrighted and should not be reproduced without written permission from an appropriate college official.
Pages linked to the CCRI home page and upper-level pages may be created by academic departments, administrative departments, college-sanctioned organizations or committees, and official student organizations. Faculty and staff may publish personal pages. The author bears full responsibility for the contents of his/her personal Web pages.
Each entity wishing to publish on the web is responsible for naming a Web Content Manager[BROKEN LINK] and submitting a Web Content Manager Form[BROKEN LINK] who will maintain that entity’s web pages. The Web Content Manager must be a permanent full or part-time CCRI employee. A vice president, dean, department chair, or director must approve the allocation of this responsibility.
The Community College of Rhode Island recognizes that social media is a powerful communication tool to educate, inform and collaborate with its students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as members of the community. By posting information to social media sites, CCRI expands its brand and extends its reach into the community. The purpose of using social media communication channels by the CCRI Department of Marketing and Communications is to support the college’s mission, goals and programs by sharing news and information as an extension of its website (www.ccri.edu). Official college pages (e.g., www.facebook.com/ccri1964) uphold CCRI’s established college policies of graphic standards and codes of conduct.
If a college department or program wants to augment its Web presence, it is encouraged to make use of the department or program page on the CCRI website or establish a new one by contacting their web content manager or [email protected] for assistance.
