Boisclair Bounces Back with an 80 on Day 3 at Nationals!

Warwick, R.I. – June 18, 2018: CCRI Knights Golf Captain Tyler Boisclair (West Warwick, RI) Teed off on the Lake Course at Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, NY for day three of the NJCAA DIII National Championship. Boisclair was tied for 31st after day two with an impressive two day total of 164 (79 + 85). Boisclair had another excellent day at Chautauqua on Thursday shooting an 80 which was just one stroke off his first round total of 79. The 80 gave him a three day total of 244 which id 28 over par and puts him tied for 28th overall individually.

Boisclair started the third round with a flourish paring the first and third holes and birdying the par-four second hole. Tyler ran into some trouble on the fourth hole where he carded a double- bogey but he bounced back with back-to-back pars. Unfortunately, for Tyler the last three holes on the front nine were not kind to him as he went out double- bogey, bogey & bogey, to finish the par 35 front nine with a 40.

On the back nine Boisclair once again was back in the swing of things carding back-to back pars. He bogeyed the par three 12th hole. However, Boisclair battled back to par the next four holes to gain momentum going into the final two holes. He finished the round with back-to-back bogeys to come in with a 40 on the par 37 back nine to give him a day three total of 80.

Boisclair will tee off on the first hole of the Lake Course at Chautauqua Golf Club at 9:08 am Friday in the final round of the NJCAA Division III National Championships. Boisclair will begin that round tied for 28th place with a three round total of 244 (79 + 85 + 80) with a very good chance to break the top 25 with a solid round on the links.
