RI Promise Leave of Absence
Under certain extenuating circumstances, Rhode Island Promise students, COVID Recovery High School/GED Scholarship students, and COVID Recovery Finish Scholarship students may request an approved leave of absence to extend eligibility.
Extenuating circumstances may include documented medical emergency; documented personal emergency; or documented military deployment. Supporting documentation is a requirement of this appeal.
As soon as possible after learning of the disruption to their educational plan, these scholarship students should complete the Leave of Absence form and email [email protected] (1) the form, (2) a letter of explanation, and (3) copies of official third party documentation that supports your letter of explanation. Attach all documentation as a PDF or JPEG file.
