Scheduling an audition

Performance and repertoire requirements

Interested candidates should prepare materials from the standard studies and repertoire for their instrument or voice part.  These choices should demonstrate different styles within their classical or jazz idiom and their current level of technical accomplishment.  Candidates should also be prepared to demonstrate their current knowledge of major and minor scales over the standard range of their instrument.  A brief excerpt for sight reading, supplied by the department, will additionally be required for 2-credit instrumental lessons.  Please contact the members of the music faculty for further advising.  If an accompaniment is necessary, please provide music for it. Candidates should submit the paperwork ahead of time, and arrive to their juries on time, warmed-up, dressed appropriately, and prepared to play for the faculty.
