Succession Ready

Get Succession Ready!

Thinking about selling your business now or in the near future?

Whether you are planning to sell your business, pass it on to a family member or to your employees, the Succession Ready program will inform and empower you to develop a customized and actionable succession plan for you and your business.

Succession Ready is a six week educational program, delivered in a combination of in-person and virtual workshops, designed to help Rhode Island small business owners get ready for a successful succession.

A collaborative effort between CCRI’s Division of Workforce Partnerships, New Majority Capital, Polaris MEP, and Rhode Island Commerce, with a curriculum developed by Professor Richard Bliss of Babson College, Succession Ready is designed to support small business owners to preserve their legacies, make successful business exits, and keep small businesses open and Rhode Islanders employed.

The program is completely FREE, thanks to funding from Rhode Island Commerce.

If you are thinking about selling your business now, or within the next 5 years, Succession Ready will give you all the financial, legal and practical information, and the tools and resources, to develop a personalized succession plan.

Succession Ready will run from October 4 to November 8, 2024.
