Rehabilitative Health Programs - Symposium
The purpose of this interprofessional educational program will be to change the culture of pain management by promoting non-opioid therapies for pain. Various evidence-based alternative treatment modalities such as clinical massage therapy, acupuncture, physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic care, naturopathic medicine, cognitive behavioral therapy, and community health services will be introduced. Panelists will discuss their approaches to specific patient case examples giving providers the knowledge to choose the best treatment path for their patients.
This program is made possible with support from the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Healthcare Workforce Transformation Initiatives.
Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Physical Therapists, Social Workers, Medical Students, Residents & Fellows, Occupational Therapists, Therapeutic Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, CCRI Health and Rehabilitative Science Students, Faculty, Alumni, and Clinical Instructors.
