ccri page checklist

  1. Header image text
  2. Breadcrumb
  3. Page Heading
  4. Sidenav
  5. Contact information

1. Header image text

The header image text will be your department's name. The header image text can be changed in "Properties," "Parameters" under "Header Image Options" by changing the "Header Image Text" field.

The masthead text also has a link embedded in it. This link should go up one level from the page it's on. This is also editable in "Parameters" under "Header Image Options."

2. Breadcrumb

The breadcrumb is generally the same as the page title. For index pages with a double breadcrumb, the breadcrumb is removed. The breadcrumb can be edited in "Properties," "Parameters" under the "Custom Settings" section.

3. Page heading

The page heading tells users what the page content is. It is an H1 level heading. To be in compliance with accessibility laws, YOU MUST HAVE A PAGE HEADING ON EACH PAGE. It must be unique to all other pages on your site. Ideally, the page heading should be no more than 40 characters long. You can check your page heading character count with this tool. Page heading text can be changed in "Properties," >"Parameters" under "Custom Settings." IT CANNOT BE LEFT BLANK.

4. Sidenav

The sidenav is the local navigation for users to reach all pages on your site. It can be edited from the "_sidenav-2019.inc" file.

5. Contact information

The contact information can be edited right on the page if in "Properties," "Yes" is selected for "Enable Editable Region." If it's not, then it's editable in the sites _contact-info-2019.html file*. The contact information could be pulled in from another part of the site, this can be checked in the "Access Settings" of your site. The heading of the contact section can be changed in "Properties," "Parameters" under "Contact Information Section." The contact information can be turned off in "Properties," "Parameters" under "Contact Information Section."

Please note: The new contact info file (_contact-info-2019.html) has been changed to a new format. If you have a problem using the new format, please contact [email protected].
