Check out the discussion of the penis on its own page.  The glans penis is at the distal end of the penis.  It is a continuation of the corpus spongiosum and is covered by the prepuce (foreskin) unless the individual has had a circumcision.  The opening is the terminal end of the urethra, which serves as a common urogenital opening in the male.
