The paired horns (cornua) of the uterus are structures found in species that have litters rather than single births.  They extend laterally and cranially from the body of the uterus to the infundibulum.  The uterine tubes connect to the lumen of the uterine horns on each side.  The lumen of the horn provides a space for the developing fetuses, much like peas in a pod.
