The broad ligament is peritoneum.  It provides some support for the uterus, uterine tubes and ovaries.  It has three sections:  the mesometrium between the uterus and dorsal wall of the body, the meosalpinx between the uterine tube and the dorsal body wall, and the mesovarium between the ovary and the dorsal body wall.

 The structure of interest is being pointed to by the probes held by the hands in blue gloves.  In the picture to your right you can see the ovarian artery and vein associated with the broad ligament of the uterus.  Note that Dr. J has grown an extra hand!  Wow!  What a guy!
