Anterior view, left pubis

The picture on your left shows two synarthroses.  The one toward the top is between the pubis and the ilium.  The one toward the bottom is between the pubis and the ischium.  In the picture to your right, the end of the probe is just to your right of where the pubic symphysis would be.
The pubis is the origin for:
1.    adductor magnus
2.    adductor brevis
