Cerullo Runs Career Best at Cross Country Nationals!

Warwick, R.I. – November 5, 2018: The CCRI Knights cross country team traveled to Stanley park in Westfield, MA for the NJCAA DIII National Championships. Four knights represented CCRI: Saramarie Cerullo (Smithfield, RI), Kelder Cardoso (Pawtucket, RI), Gian Geruso (North Providence, RI) and Brandon Bun (Pawtucket, RI).

Saramarie Cerullo ran a career best 23 minutes, 1.34 seconds which earned her 50th out a 125-woman field. Head Coach Gregg Cornell said "It was great to see Saramarie run so well in her last cross country race as a CCRI athlete. She put it all together at the right time".

On the men's side, Kelder Cardoso ran well also, finishing his race in 30:27.93, taking 68th out of 176 runners. Behind him was Gian Geruso who took 115th overall and a time of 32:59.69. Last but certainly not least was Brandon Bun who completed the 8k course in a time of 36:58.11, good for 154th place.
