Cerullo Runs Season-best at USM Meet III!

Warwick, R.I. – January 28, 2019: The Community College of Rhode Island indoor track team traveled to the University of Southern Maine in Portland, ME to compete in the USM Open III. CCRI had three student-athletes competing: Saramarie Cerullo (Smithfield, RI), Aaron Cedeno (North Providence, RI) & Kyree Davis (Cumberland, RI). The women's meet was won by Assumption College with 234 points and the men's meet was won by Bates College with 174 points.

For the Lady Knights Saramarie Cerullo scored the only points of the day with a 6th place in the 3,000m run in a season-best time of 13 minutes 12.03 seconds. The sixth place finish earned Cerullo three points for CCRI.

For the Knights Aaron Cedeno placed 9th in the 400m run with a time of 57.80 seconds. Cedeno also placed 25th in the 55m dash in a time of 7.18 seconds. Also for the Knights men Kyree Davis placed 13th in the 400m with a time of 1:07.05. Davis returned to place 13th in the 55m dash in a time of 7.68 seconds.

The next meet for the Knights will be Saturday February 23rd when they will travel to Providence, RI to compete in the Brown Running Club Billy Brockmueller Indoor Invitational beginning at 10am.
