Student Veterans Organization

CCRI is home to over 600 veterans, active-duty service members, National Guardsmen, reservists, and military dependents. The Student Veterans Organization (SVO) is dedicated to meeting the needs of these individuals. We will serve as a resource of knowledge for incoming student veterans who wish to transition from military life to student life. We will provide opportunities to meet and interact with fellow student veterans. In general, the SVO will provide tools to facilitate veterans' success at CCRI and beyond.

The Veteran Services Offices (VSO) work hand-in-hand with the SVO. They serve as the first stop for all incoming student veterans. The VSO will assist students in the navigation of college resources, scholarship/work-study opportunities, veteran benefits, enrollment, and the completion of their academic goals. There is one office on each of the four main CCRI campuses, manned by student veterans participating in the work-study program (see below). The VSOs are open every weekday to answer any questions you may have.

The VA Work-Study program is an opportunity provided to student veterans enrolled at least 3/4-time. A WS employee will work part-time for the VA here at CCRI. They will maintain a working knowledge of the ins-and-outs of VA systems and rules for attaining educational benefits from them. The goal of the program is to make information available to student veterans at all times.
