Meet the Executive Committee

Gary Howard
President

Gary Howard is in his 5th semester at CCRI. Gary is an IT Major and hopes to continue his education at Rhode Island College in Computer Information Systems. Gary works as an intern at the Providence Rescue Mission. As the President of Student Government, his goals are to promote leadership among the student body and inspire them to take a bigger part in the CCRI community.

Maryann Swanbeck is in her 6th semester at CCRI. Maryann is a General Studies Major who plans on attending URI’s Feinstein Campus for a B.S in Human Development & Family Studies. While at CCRI, she has been a work study student at the Knight Campus Library and she is also a member of the Access Program. Within her time at CCRI, she has served on various committees and clubs and she takes great pride in all her civic engagements and volunteer work. As Director of Activities, she hopes to foster activities that will strengthen the ties between students and members of the faculty.

Samantha Meerbott is in her second year at CCRI. Samantha is a General Studies Major and hopes to continue on to Salve Regina to major in education. As the Director of Administration of Student Government, her goals are to serve as a liaison and facilitate better lines of communication between Student Government and all clubs on the Flanagan Campus.

George Ossei is a General Studies Major at the Flanagan Campus. George is in Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) and has also served as Vice President of Scholarships. George is passionate about giving back not only to the school but to his community. George is fully committed to serving the student body of CCRI in all ways possible and he looks forward to working with you.

Sam Wilson

Sam Wilson is majoring in General Studies. She hopes to transfer to Rhode Island College in the spring and receive a B.A. in Elementary Education. As Director of Student Relations, Sam plans on improving communication between students and faculty and improve the awareness of offered resources provided by the school, so that students can further prepare for their classes.

Jincy Phann

Jincy Phann is in her third semester at CCRI. Jincy is a General Studies Major who plans on continuing her education in Forensic Science at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. She has also served in the Army National Guard for the last two years and she is passionate about defending her country. In her role as Director of Student Relations, she looks forward to getting to know the students and listening to all their plans and ideas for the upcoming semester.
