Information Security Officer
Sherry Horeanopoulos has been the information security officer at Fitchburg State University since 2009. She is a member of ISACA and earned her CISA in 2011. She started the Information Security Officer's Council, which now has more than 55 members from public and private higher education institutions in New England, in 2010.
Sherry has been involved in education technology for 20 years, serving both K-12 and higher ed as a support professional, help desk administrator, systems admin and IT project manager before entering the IT security arena.
She will present "Would you give 10 percent of your IT budget to be secure?" during CCRI's Security Awareness Day.
