Director of Networking and Telecommunications
Bruce Barrett is the director of Networking and Telecommunications for Information Technology at CCRI. In addition, he has been an active participant in the development of a security program for the college in partnership with a regional security consortium and is the CCRI institutional representative for ACUTA and for REN-ISAC.
Bruce has more than 25 years of experience in higher education networking and 15 years previous experience as systems engineer and computer systems manager for General Signal Corp. He has served on the board of directors and as treasurer of OSHEAN, the board of trustees for NERCOMP and several national committees for ACUTA. He is a frequent presenter on the topics of networking and security and is on the ACUTA Awards Committee.
Bruce is responsible for putting together CCRI's first Security Awareness Day. He also will be co-presenting "PCI DSS news and events: PCI gray areas, PCI 3.0 and a PCI case study" during the second breakout session with David Rawlinson and Brad Chronister.
