*40 hours of clinical education for 6-weeks for a total of 240 hours for PHTA 2910, 2920, & 2930
There are three other optional support courses that are strongly recommended for PTA students:
- RHAB 1100: Foundational Kinesiology - One-credit online course that can be taken in any semester prior to or after acceptance into the PTA program, which prepares students for success in RHAB 1110: Kinesiology.
- PHTA 1220: Basic Therapeutic Exercise - One-credit course that can be taken in the second semester, which can enhance student success in PHTA 2910: Clinical Education I and PHTA 2010: PTA III.
- PHTA 2030: PT for Impaired Neurological Function - One-credit course that can be taken in the fifth semester to achieve full-time (12-credit) status, and which enhances student success in PHTA 2020: PTA IV.
