A holiday message to students, faculty and staff
A message from the President, Nov. 24, 2010
This is traditionally a busy time of the year as the semester begins to wind down and plans of celebrating Thanksgiving begin to take shape. Thanksgiving is an important holiday, and I want to take a moment to extend my greetings and best wishes to you. The meaning of Thanksgiving is very simple – it’s a time to join with family and friends and to give thanks for all that we enjoy together. We are also members of a special family here at the Community College of Rhode Island and we have much to be grateful for and to appreciate.
We are thankful that, despite difficult and uncertain times with the state’s economy, the community college has been able to steer a steady course and remain true to its mission. We are fortunate to have students who are motivated and enthusiastic and faculty and staff who are experts in their fields and who have a well-earned reputation of caring, reaching out and advising.
In the spirit of this holiday season, I want to extend my thanks to all of you for everything that you do for the college. With record enrollment, this is a time of opportunity for CCRI and our community college will play an active leadership role in academic and workforce development to help guide the economic recovery of our state.
Please take care over the holiday and enjoy the Thanksgiving break with family and friends. This page developed and maintained by Office of the President. Send comments and suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org .
