A message from President Di Pasquale, June 7, 2010 (updated June 18, 2010)

Charles Sullivan

To commemorate the life of beloved CCRI faculty member Charles Sullivan, who passed away two weeks ago, a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 12, in the Bobby Hackett Theater on the Warwick campus.

Charles was the driving force behind the highly successful event “More Acting! … A Theatre Extravaganza” that brought together performers from the Gamm Theatre, Perishable Theatre, Providence Black Repertory Company, 2nd Story Theatre and Trinity Repertory Company for a series of short performances in 2007, and his words that night still echo with me today: “It’s a dream that I’ve had to bring the arts and humanities to this college. Our mantra is ‘changing lives, achieving dreams’… I’ve achieved my dream tonight.”

Many of you already have shared your memories of Charles and you can continue to do so by sending your thoughts to The CCRI Department of Marketing and Communications also has put together photo gallery tribute of Charles.

Contributions in Charles’ memory can be sent to the CCRI Foundation, 1762 Louisquisset Pike, Lincoln, RI 02865.
